My cod4 problem

ok i have a problem with cod4 thats why i havent been playin much

i started about a month ago but i think it is getting much worse

what happens is that i am playing then the screen frezzes and then after about a minute if falshed black and says somthing on screen (ill get that) then it just goes back to game and works fine

my idea is that it is too much CPU

cuz it afects xfire making xfire multicoloured when i quit cod4

so i played cod4 whithout xfire today but i ahd modern rcon on
it did the samething (apart from modern rcon was fine no multi color)

ill try without modern rcon see hwat happens so if u think i ant active proably cuz i cant have xfire and cod4 on at sametime

I have ran across this problem once with Vista but it only happened once and CoD4 has worked fine ever since. The time it happened to me CoD4 quit, XFire turned a mix of light pink and blue, screen got all fucked up, then the whole computer shutdown. I was like

I would try re-installing the latest version of XFire (Installer code 43094) as that might be your problem.

Other than that, what kind of PC you have? (OS, CPU, RAM, HD space ect)

Ohh and tell us that error message that comes up, might be helpful.

@Jeremy yes u can play cod4 on windows 7. I have windows 7 on every comp i have and i have no problems so far.

the only prob about cod4 on windows 7 is you gotta run a bunch of stuff as admin for it to work and mic must be plugged in if ur speakers are plugged in in the back of comp

lawl windows xp is the best i got it vista is shit windows 7 ok but some times pb kicks you lots of people had that problem when they got windows 7 pb would kick them

Ok I had vista and it kept crashing. I have had windows 7 for 5 months and have no problems with admin what so ever, ok maybe ur parents have put the admin on win7 higher so u cant do so much .

regards to pb yes it needs updating its not WINDOWS as it is seperate from windows files.

Ok well Loss you just have a fail if Vista crashed for you. It has never crashed for me. Runs perfect and I love it.
